The Still Point

Magical, Mystical Mexico

A Winter Solstice Mayan Retreat
with Siri Sat and Guru Dharam

16-22 December 2026

at Mahahaul, Mexico

The Still Point

There is a precise moment during the Winter Solstice when the Earth’s tilt reaches its limit and the sun appears to stand still. This is the Still Point; a sacred threshold where the polarity shifts and the light is quietly reborn through the womb of darkness. In the old traditions, it was taught that this window of time is a mechanical necessity for the human psyche. It is the time to "change the oil" of the body; a rare opportunity to reset your nervous system when the Earth’s field is most supportive of deep, cellular change

The Practice of the Presence

In a world that rarely lets us pause, we often find ourselves stretched thin; not in crisis, but simply misaligned. Through the practices of Sacred Yoga, meditation, and the mastery of the breath, we enter this liminal space together. Supported by the ancient Mayan shores, the rhythm of the sea, and the spirit of the land, we move beyond rigid doctrine into an organic, experiential process. Here, the waters offer their blessings and the Solstice sun rises to meet the new version of you.

This retreat is for you if you:

Are ready for a systemic recharge; seeking a deep, energetic reboot to clear the residue of the year and restore your vitality.

Feel the call of the season; longing to honor the Winter Solstice at the exact moment the light begins its pivotal return.

Are a teacher, healer, or creative; needing a sanctuary to refill your own cup and refine your practice in conscious community.

Seek the mastery of Shuniya; moving beyond the surface of daily stress into the deep; fertile ground of stillness and emptiness.

Crave an elemental sanctuary; seeking a space designed for both deep comfort and nature; where the jungle meets the sea on the private shores of Mahahual.

Feel called to mark the Solstice together; to pause; reflect; and co-create a sacred; high-vibration space within the quiet alchemy of Mahai.

Seek a space that is both esoteric and grounded — evolving, real, and accessible

Location & Setting

This isn’t just a wellness getaway — it’s a sacred pause for those who walk the healing path and need a space to simply be, rest, and renew.

Held at Mahai, nestled between the jungle and the sea along the Mayan shores of Mahahual, 2.5 hours from Tulum and 1.5 from Bacalar, this retreat is immersed in the raw, restorative elements of sun, sand, sky, and saltwater. Here, the sea reflects the rhythms of a living reef and mangrove ecosystem, offering a quieter, more natural side of the Caribbean.

Mahai is a sanctuary of sustainable luxury — fully solar-powered and designed to let the natural world thrive. Here, you’ll hear mostly the wind, birds, and sea.

This retreat invites you into stillness and sanctuary — the sacred space of Shuniya.
With sunrise yoga, sunset meditations, nourishing whole foods, and a circle of kindred spirits, we’ll share in the quiet alchemy of renewal.

Daily Schedule – What Awaits You

Wake to the Sound of the Sea

Sunrise and sundown practices, held either in the open-air shala or beside the pool, surrounded by palm trees and the rhythm of the Caribbean. Throughout the day, we’ll gather for additional practices that nurture body, mind, and spirit, allowing space for both movement and stillness.

The beauty of nature everywhere: sunrises over the Caribbean, sunsets over the lush jungle, and an abundance of nature everywhere you turn

Daily practices like meditation, yoga, ceremonies, and self-reflection to turn your focus inward, fostering self-awareness and gaining clarity on your heart's true desires

The perfect marriage of adventure and relaxation to leave your spirit fully rejuvenated, from naps on your private hammock to exploring sacred Mayan ruins.

A deepened connection with Source and a heightened sense of gratitude

To leave with your cup overflowing and changed on a cellular level

Meals – Nourishment that supports the journey

All meals are freshly prepared by Mahai’s incredible culinary team using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The cuisine is healthy, nourishing, and thoughtfully crafted to support your rest, clarity, and vitality throughout the retreat.
