Mayan Mystical Mexico 2025

The Cosmic Pause

Winter Solstice Retreat

For the seekers, sensitives, and space-holders who need space of their own:

This Winter Solstice, come rest at the edge of the world.

THE COSMIC PAUSE

A Winter Solstice Retreat with Guru Dharam & Siri Sat

16.- 22. Dec. 2025 at Mahahual, Mexico

Want to rest, reset, and re-align in rhythm with nature’s cycles?

In a world that rarely lets us pause, the end of the year can leave even the most grounded souls stretched thin, not in crisis, but simply... misaligned. Rather than naming every source of disconnection, let’s turn our attention toward what restores us.

The Solstice offers a rare and sacred opportunity to reset not just your nervous system, but your energetic compass. It is a Cosmic Pause — a threshold moment as the polarity shifts from Yang to Yin, and the light is quietly reborn through the womb of darkness. It’s a time to listen deeply, release gently, and reconnect to the source within.

Who is this retreat for

This is for you if you would like to:

  • Crave authentic spiritual experience, not rigid doctrine

  • Are healing from burnout, disillusionment, or energetic depletion

  • Are re-evaluating your relationship to practice, community, or self

  • Seek an esoteric but accessible space — rooted, evolving, and real

  • Are a teacher, healer, creative, or sensitive soul needing space to refill your own cup

  • Long for stillness, beauty, and connection without pressure or performance

  • This retreat is for those walking a spiritual path — whether you’re healing, re-evaluating, or simply ready for deep rest. You may be a teacher, healer, creative, or soul-seeker who’s felt stretched thin by life or disillusioned by dogma.

You crave spiritual experience that’s real — not rigid.
You long for stillness, not structure — and connection with others who understand the path you’re walking: kindred spirits who meet you without demand or performance.
You’re ready to reconnect with yourself in a space that honors both the mystery and the science of the human energy system.

This is an esoteric yet grounded space — rooted in sacred yogic practice, but free from the dogma that many are seeking to move beyond.

What You’ll Experience

This retreat is a jewel simultaneously on the inner and outer planes:

🜁 Inner Journey Work

Energetic & Transformational: Between sessions, the day unfolds at your pace — whether lounging on the beach, swimming in turquoise waters, or simply slowing down to connect within.

  • Held in a supportive vibration, nourished by nature and community, you’ll return home clearer, stronger, and more deeply aligned.

    • Oceanfront yoga (Kundalini-inspired) Sacred Yoga practices to purify and energize the body-mind system

    • Deep meditative work to access subtle awareness and inner knowing

    • Breath, sound, and mantra to release energetic residue and recalibrate the nervous system

    • Space for personal intention, healing, and spiritual integration

    • Group practices held in an intentional, heart-centered field

    • Sacred alignment with seasonal and solar cycles — honoring the threshold of Winter Solstice

    • Time for real stillness, inner listening, and reconnection to self

🜃 Outer Journey Work

Nature & Sacred Sites: Our retreat also includes guided journeys to places of natural beauty and spiritual resonance.

    • Chacchoben Pyramid Excursion
A sacred journey to the ancient site of Chacchoben, where the energies of the land and the wisdom of Maya cosmology invite reflection and renewal. In the spirit of the solstice, we’ll honor this threshold of light and dark — releasing, receiving, and aligning with what is ready to emerge.

    • Bacalar Lagoon
A visit to the legendary Lagoon of Seven Colors — where fresh water, minerals, and light converge in a glorious rainbow otherworldly hues. Let yourself be cleansed and inspired by the living waters of this sacred place, long revered as a portal of beauty and renewal.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Travel Overview: Getting to Mahai

Mahai is located in Mahahual, Quintana Roo, Mexico — on the southern coast of the Yucatán Peninsula.

Tulum International Airport (TQO) typically offers the most direct access for international travelers. Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive support coordinating transportation from Tulum to Mahai.
While Chetumal (CTM) is the closest airport by distance (about 1.5 to 2 hours by car) it is a domestic airport and often to access one needs to layover in Mexico city to connect.

Mahai partners with a trusted shuttle company and offers the following options from Tulum:

    • Group Shuttle: $70–$100 USD per person
(Scheduled around flight times; no more than a 2-hour wait)

    • Private Transfer: $200–$300 USD per vehicle (1–3 passengers)

    Other airport options include:

    • Chetumal (CTM): 1.5 to 2 hours by car — taxis are readily available at the airport with no advance booking required (though you may arrange one if preferred)

    • Cancún (CUN): 5 to 6 hours by car

    Arrival + Departure Timing

  • Please plan to arrive on December 16th. Check-in begins at 2:00 PM.
If most participants arrive in time, we’ll begin with an opening yoga session before dinner at 6:00 PM. Otherwise, we’ll gather for a welcome dinner around 6:30–7:00 PM, followed by an evening meditation and meet & greet. Final timing will be confirmed once everyone’s travel details are submitted.

The earlier you arrive, the more time you'll have to settle in and enjoy the space.

  • Possibly — Mahai may be able to accommodate you for one additional night before the retreat, depending on availability. Once you register, we’ll provide contact info for Mahai so you can inquire directly.
Other nearby options include staying in Tulum (if flying into Tulum Airport) or Bacalar (if arriving via Chetumal).

  • We officially close the retreat on the morning of December 22nd, with a closing practice before breakfast.
Breakfast is the last included meal. You’re free to head to the airport or continue on to other destinations after that.
We recommend booking afternoon or early evening return flights to allow enough time to travel from Mahahual to the airport.

  • Unfortunately, Mahai is unable to accommodate extended stays after the retreat. We recommend booking a night in Tulum, Bacalar, or another nearby destination if you’d like to continue your journey after the retreat concludes.

  • What if I need to cancel or change plans due to travel issues or world events?

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance. Visit insuremytrip.com or consult your credit card provider for coverage options.

  • Expect warm, sunny days, occasional rain, and cooler early mornings — perfect for practice. It can be breezy, especially near the sea, so we recommend bringing light layers.

Space is limited

We’ll be staying in a small, private resort with limited rooms.

Early registration is recommended

Room types are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

What happens after booking?

Additional preparation details will be emailed to registered participants about three weeks before the retreat.
